What Waimz is
Waimz™ is a real-world social app for the LGBTQ+ community. It shows you LGBTQ+ friendly bars, cafés, clubs and meetups nearby, communities built around interests and identities, and, if you switch it on, people near you to say hi to. It works at home and while you travel. The app is live on Android, with iOS coming soon, and it is free to use with an optional Premium plan.

Real life first
The point of Waimz is to get you out of the house: a bar you did not know, a community that meets on Thursdays, a person worth a coffee. The app is the start, not the destination.
Places, friends and dating, in that order
Most LGBTQ+ apps start with dating. We start with where to go and who to go with. Dating is there when you want it, and it switches off when you do not.
No swiping, no games
You see a person, you say hi. No piles of cards, no waiting to be picked. Replies are always free.
Safety that feels like freedom
Photo check, block and report, hide distance and discreet mode are free for everyone. Orientation, gender identity and pronouns are optional, never sold and never used for advertising.
Adults only
Waimz is for people aged 18 and over, with an age gate at signup and zero tolerance for anything that puts minors at risk. See our child safety standards.
Who makes it
Waimz was founded by Ofir Peretz, a marketer and product builder who has led growth for global technology companies and advised startups across Europe, the Middle East and the US. A small team of designers, developers and community contributors builds Waimz with the people who use it. We are a pre-seed startup, and we are proud of it.
