The LGBTQ+ social app for real life.
Places, friends and dating. One app.
Waimz™ is a real-world LGBTQ+ social app. Find LGBTQ+ friendly places, join communities to make friends and, if you want, say hi to people nearby. No swiping. Free. 18+.
What is an LGBTQ+ social app?
An LGBTQ+ social app helps queer people meet each other and find community. Most apps in the category started as dating apps and added social features later. Waimz starts the other way round: where to go, who to go with, and then, only if you want, dating. It is built for the whole LGBTQ+ spectrum and for adults aged 18 and over.
What to look for in an LGBTQ+ social app
Real places, not just profiles
An app that shows LGBTQ+ friendly bars, cafés and meetups nearby turns a chat into a plan. Waimz puts places first.
Friendship that stands on its own
Communities built around interests and identities, so you can make friends without dating. On Waimz, dating is a switch.
Direct, low-pressure connection
See someone, say hi. No endless swiping and no waiting to be picked.
Free safety tools
Photo check, block and report, hide distance and discreet mode should not cost extra. On Waimz they are free for everyone.
Respect for sensitive data
Orientation, gender identity and pronouns should be optional and never used for ads or sold.
Works when you travel
City guides and a way to see your next city before you land help you find your people anywhere.

Questions about LGBTQ+ social apps
What is an LGBTQ+ social app?
An LGBTQ+ social app helps lesbian, gay, bi, trans, non-binary and queer people meet each other and find community. The best ones go beyond dating: they help you find LGBTQ+ friendly places, make friends, join groups and feel at home in a new city.
What is the best LGBTQ+ social app for making friends?
Look for an app where friendship is a first-class feature, not a side effect of dating: communities you can join, places where people actually meet, and a way to switch dating off. Waimz™ is built that way, with places, friends and dating in one app and dating fully optional.
Is Waimz™ a dating app or a social app?
Both, and you choose. Waimz™ is a real-world LGBTQ+ social app for places, friends and dating. You can use it only for places and communities, or switch dating on to see people nearby and start the chat yourself.
Is there an LGBTQ+ app for all genders and identities?
Yes. Waimz™ is for the whole LGBTQ+ spectrum: gay, lesbian, bi, pan, trans, non-binary, queer and questioning adults. Orientation, gender identity and pronouns are optional on your profile and are never used for advertising.
Is there an LGBTQ+ app to find gay bars and queer places nearby?
Waimz™ shows LGBTQ+ friendly bars, cafés, clubs and meetups near you, with who's going. The free Waimz™ city guides also list queer places in 18 cities, from London and Berlin to Tel Aviv, New York and Sydney.
Is Waimz™ free?
Yes. Waimz™ is free to download and use, including places, communities, discovery, replies and safety tools. An optional Premium plan adds extras such as Travel mode; the current features and price are shown in the app before you buy.
Is Waimz™ safe?
Waimz™ gives everyone free safety tools: photo check with a verified badge, block and report in every chat, hide distance and discreet mode. It is 18+ only. No app can vet everyone, so meet in public first and read the Waimz™ safety tips.
