Waimz™ is built for real-world connection: dates, friends, chosen family and nights out. These general precautions may help reduce risks, but cannot eliminate them. They are part of our Terms of Service and are not a substitute for professional legal, medical or emergency assistance.

Safety is a shared responsibility

Safety tools and moderation have limits. We do not conduct criminal background checks or sex-offender screenings, and we cannot establish a user's identity, age, intentions or the truth of their profile. A verification badge indicates only that a selfie or liveness check compared an image with profile photos at a point in time. It is not proof of identity or age, a background check, an endorsement or a guarantee of safety. We cannot control other people's conduct on or off Waimz™. None of these tips removes anyone's responsibility for harmful behavior or limits rights you have under applicable law.

Before you meet

  • Take your time. Chat on Waimz™ first. You never owe anyone a meeting, your number, or a photo.
  • Do not rely on a profile or badge alone. Pay attention to inconsistencies, impersonation and pressure. Photos, messages and verification checks cannot establish that someone is trustworthy. Waimz™ does not offer in-app video calls. You do not need to move to another service or share contact details to assess a connection; if you are unsure, postpone or decline the meeting.
  • Protect your details. Keep your home address, workplace, full name, financial information and daily routine to yourself until you've built real trust.
  • Watch for red flags. Pressure to move off the app, inconsistent stories, threats, requests for money or intimate images, and attempts to isolate you deserve caution. A single behavior does not prove wrongdoing, and the absence of warning signs does not establish safety.
  • Protect your account. Never share passwords, sign-in codes or recovery codes. Avoid unexpected links and downloads, and do not enter account or payment details on a page sent by another user.

When you meet

  • Meet in public, stay in public. Pick a busy café, bar or venue for the first few meetings, not a private home or a car.
  • Tell a friend. Share who you're meeting, where and when. Check in during and after.
  • Control your ride. Get yourself there and home. Keep your phone charged.
  • Know your limits. Stay aware of alcohol or substances, and keep your drink in sight.
  • Leave whenever you want. You can end a date or leave an event at any time, for any reason. Trust your gut.

Never send money

Requests for money can be scams, even after a long conversation. Do not send cash, gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank transfers or investment funds to someone you met online. Do not share banking details or move money for them. If you have already paid, contact your bank or payment provider promptly and report the account. Recovery of funds is not guaranteed.

Intimate images and sextortion

Once an image leaves your phone, you can't control it. Waimz™ doesn't allow nude images anywhere on the platform. If someone threatens to share images of you unless you pay or do something, stop responding, don't pay, keep evidence (screenshots, usernames), report them in the app, and contact local police. If images of you were shared without consent, contact us at support@humainz.com.

Consent and sexual health

  • Consent must be freely given, clear, specific and ongoing, and can be withdrawn at any time. Silence, a previous encounter or agreeing to meet is not consent. Someone who is asleep, unconscious or too impaired to make a decision cannot consent. Never pressure someone; stop if consent is absent or uncertain.
  • Anything someone tells you about their sexual health (such as HIV status, PrEP use or recent testing) is self-reported and not verified by Waimz™. Make your own informed choices about protection and testing.
  • Waimz™ doesn't provide medical advice. Talk to a healthcare provider or local sexual-health clinic.

Your privacy as an LGBTQ+ person

  • Limit what you reveal. Being seen on an LGBTQ+ app can reveal sensitive information. Review the privacy controls available in your app and your device's notification settings. These controls do not guarantee anonymity or prevent someone from recognizing you.
  • Location is approximate, but not invisible. Distance, photos and messages can sometimes be used to estimate where you are. Review location permissions and avoid sharing live locations, familiar landmarks or your daily routine. Restricting location access may affect app features and does not erase information already shared.
  • Screenshots happen. Other people can screenshot what you share. Outing someone is a serious violation of our Community Guidelines. Report it.

Travelling and local laws

In some countries and regions, same-sex relationships or gender expression are restricted or criminalized, and social and dating apps may be used to identify or entrap LGBTQ+ people. Before you travel, check current local laws and official travel advice. Review your profile visibility, location permissions and device privacy settings. No app setting guarantees protection from surveillance, outing or legal consequences. Seek qualified local advice where needed and consider not using the app if doing so could put you at risk.

Places, meetups and communities

  • Places listed on Waimz™ are independent businesses. An "LGBTQ+-friendly" label is information, not a guarantee. Venues and vibes change.
  • Meetups and events are organized by members, communities or venues, not by Waimz™. Check details, go with a friend if you can, and follow the venue's rules.
  • Community moderators are members, not Waimz™ staff.
  • If something feels off at a venue or event, leave, and tell venue staff or the organizer. Report it to us too.

Report, block, move on

If someone makes you uncomfortable, use the available block and report controls. Include relevant usernames, dates and details where safe to do so. The person you report is not told who reported them, but may infer it from the circumstances. Blocking cannot prevent contact through other accounts or services, and reporting does not guarantee a particular outcome or response time. Waimz™ is for adults aged 18 and over only. If you believe a user is under 18, report them or email childsafety@humainz.com. Do not download, screenshot or forward suspected child sexual abuse material. Read our Child Safety Standards. If you're in danger

Waimz™ is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the U.S. and Canada, 999 in the UK, 112 across the EU, 000 in Australia, 111 in New Zealand).

If you've experienced harassment, assault or abuse, you don't have to handle it alone. LGBTQ+ and survivor support services include the resources below. Check each provider's current hours, eligibility, costs and confidentiality policies; availability varies by location.

Resources are listed for convenience. They are independent organizations not affiliated with Waimz™ or Humainz, Inc. We do not control their services or guarantee their availability. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for an app report or support reply.
